Hello Longfellow Families!
We have had a TERRIFIC start to our school year. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
- The PASS program began on Tuesday, September 22nd. Participation is by invitation only. Students who received an invitation should return the signed permission slip to the main office.
- We will be starting multiple school activities and clubs - MakerSpace, Gaming Club, Chess Club, Flag Football, Choir, Band, Orchestra, Longfellow Leaders - just to name a few. Make sure to check your child's folder regularly (especially Friday Folders) for these forms!
- October is fire awareness month. We will have special Fire program by the West Allis FD on October 7th.
- Parent/Teacher conferences for 1st quarter are October 14th and October 21st, 4:00-8:00pm. Our expectation is that ALL FAMILIES participate in a conference during 1st quarter. Please look for the sign up form to come home in Friday Folders on Sept. 25.
- Friday, September 25th will be our first monthly DOJO incentive. Students with 80% positive points for the month of September will be able to participate. If you need to sign up for DOJO notifications, please contact your child's teacher.
- A reminder to parents - EARLY PICKUPS should only occur in an emergency. Students who are regularly picked up early are missing out on valuable instructional time.
- Phone calls and messages to the office should only be done in emergencies. It is disruptive to classrooms to call with multiple messages at the end of the day.
- The Health Department will be doing fluoride treatments on Tuesday, October 6th. To have your child participate, please return the form that was sent home last week.
- NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 28th due to Teacher Professional Development day.
