- Class DOJO is a behavior monitoring system that helps give feedback to students as they meet our expectations of Respect Self, Respect Others, Respect Environment.
- Students in grades K-3 will have more frequent positive/negative points. Students in 4/5th grade will have less frequent awarding of points - only for exceeding expectations (+) or failing to meet expectations after a verbal warning (-). Our hope is that students in 4/5th grade are better able to meet expectations with less feedback as they prepare to move to Intermediate School.
- Parents can sign up using their email addresses to monitor DOJO from home/work. Please be advised that teachers see many students throughout the day, and cannot always leave an individual comment regarding why a point was given. The intention of sharing DOJO accounts with parents is so that you can talk with your child about their choices throughout the school day.
- Parents were given a handout of classroom expectations at the start of the school year and/or at conferences. Please contact your child's teacher if you need another copy or with questions.
- We have monthly DOJO incentives for students who are consistently meeting our expectations. For K-3 students, this means getting 80% positive points. For 4/5th students, this means staying at an average of no less than 0%. We have some students who work towards alternate goals based on individual needs and plans.
